The Ethnographic and Historical Museum of Figuerola is a recently renovated space, with an innovative and attractive exhibition discourse. The aim is for the visitor to discover the identity of Figuerola and its essence as a town. Audio-visual media, light, sound and an evocative museography allow us to grasp sensations, experiences, memories... that bring us closer to the life stories of a farming village in the transition from the 19th to the 20th century.

The exhibition route is structured in four areas. Outside, under a porch, various agricultural implements are displayed, which are part of the museum's ethnographic collection. From the courtyard, you can access the lobby, designed as a reception point for the public. Here you can learn about the history of the town, its characteristic features and its cultural and natural heritage. The exhibition of a representative part of the archaeological collection of the Neolithic site of the Cova del Gat stands out.

In the third of the areas, the discourse focuses on the phylloxera crisis and the depopulation of the countryside. The scenography brings us closer to knowing the hopelessness of a peasant couple when they leave their land. The tour is completed with the intimate space of the chamber, where a voice-over tells us about marriage strategies and pacts between families in order to regulate the transmission of patrimony.
